Overview
The PhD program in Management at UMLAC explores how organizations create sustainable value that fulfills the interests of the organization through producing positive impacts for society and the environment.
Our investigations of sustainable management encompass three components:
Each of these components is covered in the coursework and they represent the scope of our programmatic research on consciousness-based sustainability in management.
The evolution of individual and collective consciousness cultivates the learning capabilities of systems thinking, collaborative relationships, and creative visioning to create sustainable value.
This evolving consciousness expresses itself in new management practices and forms of organization that enable organizations to innovatively address social and environmental needs. Evolving consciousness also attends to and reports on a holistic range of performance outcomes, encompassing economic, social, and environmental results.
In the PhD program at UMLAC, sustainable management is studied in the light of the Science and Technology of Consciousness. This program in ConsciousnessBased℠ Management for Sustainability provides understanding and experience of the total intelligence of Nature, which automatically manages the infinitely complex and evolving universe without strain and without mistakes. Students in this program practice technologies for personal growth toward better health, clearer thinking, greater creativity, moral development, and wisdom.

The specific facts and theories about business will change over time, but several personal qualities that develop through Consciousness-BasedSM management will form the basis for our students’ success throughout their careers.
The unique perspective on business at UMLAC is perhaps best illustrated by comparing some “conventional principles” of business, which kept life rooted in ignorance in ages past, with “consciousnessbased” principles that are emerging in an age where the current knowledge-based paradigm of business would find its fulfillment in Consciousness-Based Management.
The goal of UMLAC is: To promote for all the people of the Caribbean and Latin America Consciousness
Based universities, with the goal of awakening in every student the full potential of creativity, intelligence, and
happiness for an increasingly problem-free, progressive and fulfilling life that brings all good to oneself, one’s
surroundings, and to society as a whole.
In alignment with its Vision, UMLAC plans to continue adding programs and their supervisory Departments.
In addition to this Program, below you will find a series of programs which are scheduled to start in the near future.
