The specialization in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) – SAP Finance is designed to give students hands-on experience with one of the world’s leading integrated information system platforms. In the third course of the sequence, you will learn about the powerful reporting and data analysis tools for decision-making including use of SAP BusinessObjects enterprise software. These courses will prepare students for SAP certification exams and for professional positions.
The MBA specialization in Enterprise Resource Planning with SAP Finance requires a minimum of three of the four (4 credit) SAP courses to fulfill the 16 credit requirement for an MBA specialization. The remaining 4 credits may be acquired by taking any MBA-level accounting course or another SAP course if schedule permits.
All ERP students must possess basic background in accounting knowledge to be eligible to take the SAP-Finance courses. We offer basic financial and managerial accounting courses for MBAs in the fall semester each year. We also allow waiver of the accounting knowledge requirement based on B or higher grades in previous university courses or demonstrated competency by passing an online exam.
With the ERP specialization, students may select between two tracks: Standard Track or Practical Training Internship Track. Additional financial assistance may be available to those in the Practical Training Internship Track who meet eligibility requirements. Read below for more information.
Students who wish to finish their degree quickly choose the Standard Track in ERP specialization. No prior experience with ERP platforms is required. Students may be able to waive up to 18 academic credits of business courses with B grades or higher at the undergraduate level. The program can be completed in 11-18 months. Students with no background in accounting will need to join the August entry so they can take pre-requisite accounting courses offered only in the fall semester.
